נֵץ

נֵץI m. (b. h.; נָצַץ) 1) sprouting, flower, blossom. Ukts. II, 1 והנץ שלה and the flower-like substance on cucumbers. Ib. 3 הנץ שלו the sproutings on the pomegranate; (Tosef. ib. I, 8 סיאר, שיער). Y.Shebi.IV, end, 35c (ref. to משינצו, ib. IV, 10) לאי דו נץ שהואוכ׳ what blossoming is meant? Such as promises one Robʿa of olives. Cant.
